Nomination #1: Submitted by Brenda R. Griffin
Dear Mrs. Parker and Dove Award Committee, It
is with great pleasure that I submit this nomination for the Dove Award for Mrs. Cynthia Richards, DAPCO Volunteer. Having known Ms. Richards for several years and currently serving with her as Co-Call Coordinator
for Praising and Sharing with My Sister Conference Call Program, I have learned and experienced her dedication and love for
people and ministry. As call coordinators, Cynthia and I have invited women to
share their gifts and talents with our organization and ministry. What I so appreciate
about Cynthia is her willingness to support P&S program even though she is living in another state! Cynthia "stepped up to the plate" with a spirit of unity and sweetness when asked for her assistance. I know that Cynthia may not have been so comfortable having to prepare communications to our facilitators
and to our sister participants which required both our formulating and sending e-mails twice monthly for our conference calls.
She did not, however, complain, but was always agreeable and would remark that she would do her best....and she always did...her
best! Working so close with Cynthia,I knew there were occasions when she had to devote
time to her family's needs which oftentimes involved travel. I don't recall
Cynthia ever excusing herself when she really could have and would have been excusable! Not only has Cynthia displayed a dedication to the program, she has also been an encouragement to so many with her
prayers, phone calls, messages, notes of encouragement and other acts of kindness which she did not have to take time to display.
Cynthia does not love in just word, but in deed and in deeds! It
is therefore, my express desire and honor to nominate Ms. Cynthia Richards...all the way in Lake Charles, LA,for the 2010
DOVE AWARD! May the Lord continue to bless and keep her as a Jewel to DAPCO and
to the people she ministers to along the way! Sincerely, Brenda Griffin Ladies of Destiny and Purpose, Int'l Praising and Sharing with My Sister

life and help them learn to read. Our tutors will be available for tutoring throughout the summer and fall;
daytime and after school appointments are also being set up now at various local schools in Washtenaw County.
Mentors are also being recruited: we are always in need of quality role models, male and females, who want to become
a positive force in the life of a youth. For more details, please email your interest to dapco1@sbcglobal.net

our program. More positive details on this program will be forthcoming.

Poetry
Winner Cynthia Canada In
April, DAPCO was one of several non-profit agencies approached to submit a poem on behalf of our organization. All poems submitted
had to be original, related to the programs and/or services of the submitting agency. All contestants who entered the contest
had a chance to win $10,000, $5,000 or an IT comprehensive program, valued at $995.00. One of our long time volunteers, Mrs.
Cynthia Canada, who has written poetry in the past for some of our events, was chosen by our Executive Director to write a
unique poem just for DAPCO. As a result of Cynthia’s submission, DAPCO was one of the agencies
selected to win the IT comprehensive program. We thank you Cynthia for answering the call to action. You
can view Cynthia's tribute poem at a later date and will be posted on this page.
